| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2006 Very well balanced APA...sweet caramel and toffee malt with a generous pine and citrus hopping. The combination is a very refreshing and easily sessionable pale ale. I would eagerly seek this one out again. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2006 This American Pale Ale pours an orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is hoppy and malt sweet. A medium to light bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are citrusy and earthy. Not very hoppy or very bitter, but it is very crisp and dry. There is a touch of residual sweetness and the finish. Would make a good session ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2006 Pour is a clear dark orange with a thin white ring of suds. Aroma is light citrus hops with a little bit of sweetness. Actually this beer has quite a bit of pleasent sweetness. The hops are a little bit more grassy and bitter in the flavor. The body is about right for this size beer. Maybe a little light. Overall very clean, and easy-drinking. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2006 This is yet another run of the mill ale which is well executed, nicely blended, and enjoyable to drink. Nothing at all to complain about, although it doesn’t really make a statement. If anything, this beer is a little too sweet, but overall very solid. kramer (2515), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 27, 2006 12 oz bottle, via Goldtwins. Pours a clear light gold with a fizzy white head. Nice floral hop aroma over a light crystal malt base. Lightly hoppy flavor over a slightly grainy malt base. Not too much going on here. Very light bodied with fizzy and prickly carbonation. This really wasn’t a bad beer in and of itself, no real flaws, just designed to be very weak and bland. Not the beer that they make for the geeks I guess. ELPADRINO (70), The Woodlands, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 21, 2006 Pours burnt yellow with healthy white head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Taste is medium hops with a bittersweet aftertaste that lingers for a while. Hops are not overpowering, which is sometimes the case with pale ales. Swallow is very smooth. illinismitty (1800), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2006 Draft at the Flying Saucer Nashville. Pours amber with some citrus and floral aroma. Flavor of carmel malt and a hint of orange, balanced by a nice non-aggressive bitter hop profile. Finish is crisp and mildy hoppy. A little watery in the mouthfeel. This one could use a little more body, but overall, not a bad APA. I could put a six of this in the fridge for session beers as an alternative to SNPA or North Coast Red Seal. freekyp (903), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2006 Updated: Aug 2, 2006Crisp and full of floral hops, this pale ale does not skimp on the maltiness either. A fine grainy character balances everything out. 420 has a soft pleasant palate. Even keeled, 420 is a good example of a thoughtfully brewed beer.
