brigg (149), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jan 12, 2008 (bottle) Big, creamy head, and clear amber body. Clean, very floral hop aroma with an underlying malt and sweet fruit. Medium bodied and slightly sticky or oily. Flavor is sweet but refreshing up front, then the dry hops surface with a bitter finish and aftertaste. Some citrus, earthy (wood, grass) notes present as well.
Ungstrup (11692), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 28, 2008 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit and atoush of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruit and a ligjt touch of caramel, leading to a bitter finish. A bit boring. BustedFlat (436), Edina, Minnesota, USA Nov 21, 2008 On tap at the Steamhouse in Atlanta on 10/17/08. My first beer on my trip through the South. Oh well. Poured golden. Aroma - Grassy hops. Taste was slightly hoppy with notes of mineral water. Pretty bland. These guys could take a few lessons from our northern brewers.
AllAboutStout (595), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 16, 2008 Pours a clear, translucent amber in color with only a soapy ring of froth developing on the pour. Smell is malts and some old, still holding on hops. The best by date is still another 3 months away! Taste is old and not good for a supposed to still be good beer. Very thin on the mouthfeel and easy drinking. Not something I would revisit again. KAggie97 (2023), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 25, 2008 Bottle from Suttree. Thanks!<br />Pours an average cheddar amber with a malty and floral biscuit aroma. Hints of nutty grapefruit and carrot juice are floatin’ around in there as well. Flavor is a malty, earthy vegetable medely with a floral butter finish. Average mouthfeel, but a bit spikey at times. A decent pale ale for sure, but it seems better suited for a backyard bbq. rcasta (339), El Salvador Oct 24, 2008 En ribs
