Well, I can’t say I was expecting much at all from this brew, so I was slightly pleasantly surprised. The pour is lifeless and light with no head and minimal carbonation. It’s completely see-through, especially around the narrower portion of the flute. The nose is crisp, clean, and has an appropriate level of blueberries. Pretty much the same thing in the way of taste: clean, no off flavors, just some pleasing blueberry hints. The mouthfeel is way too watery. It’s interesting to see that Centenial hops were used in this, maybe one hop in the entire kettle. So, what we have here is a very light blueberry drink. It precariously walks the line of alchopop, but it isn’t fizzy or artificial enough to make my blood pressure rise with fury. However, you sure as hell won’t catch me drinking this again, even if it might cool me down on a hot December day in TN. brstp (201), Princeton, New Jersey, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 24, 2006 On draught at multiple locations in ATL, including brewery and in bottle. Not personally a fan of wheat-containing beers, but they must have tweaked the formula because I went from starting out on this beer to it being undrinkable, then now back to being drinkable. The wheaty finish is what turned me off to this, but now it seems like it is more hidden or more subdued. Appearance in the glass is a superbly clear golden amber colour with a medium white crown. Sometimes a good pour can achieve a good 2-fingers worth, but retention is not optimal. Aroma is definitely full of blueberries and slightly yeasty in some cases. This is a beer that should be enjoyed thoroughly chilled. The flavour shouts blueberries but it is not too much "in your face" and has a crisp lager-like finish. The malt in this beer is featured more than the hops, which is almost non-existent. Blue is definitely a session beer and excellent to prevent hangovers in the morning, defending its title by locals as a breakfast beer. Very thin body and as close to a "light" beer as you get at Sweetwater. Very popular with tyro beer drinkers and the women. Good to enjoy on occasion, when the time is right, but not something that I personally opt to drink all the time. CheersMate1 (805), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 23, 2006 I am stuck in the middle on this beer. I am an Atlanta native and seeing this beer practically everywhere makes me think that it has picked up on its popularity. The beer though can be at times too fruity. If this is what the company is going for they have done an excellent job. This is something my girlfriend likes to drink due to the fact that you have the taste of blueberries lingering in your mouth. I must defend the company by saying if you name a beer after bluberries it better taste as such. hopdog (5608), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium and clear golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of very light blueberries and I’m getting some perfume. Tastes of light blueberries and grain. Pale yellow pour with a light whitish head that disappears instantly. Grainy aroma...sweet fruity aroma. Flavor is berry-ish...hestitate to claim it’s blueberries, but who knows for sure. Not bad, just not real good. I’ve had worse by a long shot. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Fruity aroma with some blueberries, pears, wheat and toffee. Flavor is the same with lots of blueberries, THis is actually pretty good. The blueberries are definately there, but not overbearing. Lively carbonation. Thin to medium body. Tastey and refreshing.
