Pour is nice deep dark brown, light black with a dense light tan head...smell is roasty and sweet with caramel and molasses...hints of cocoa...taste is sweet and sticky with toffee, caramel, and cocoa...yet there is something that seems a little off...perhaps it is how the finish is really dry and with the flavor up front seems as though it should be sticky...slightly metallic in the finish...

Black pour small off white tan head.. rich chocolate roasted malt aroma but very light.. pretty avg palate.. flavor of roasted malt chocolate and a lightly bitter finish. Boring porter.

Hard pour develops a small brown head that drops off quickly leaving a lasting ring behind. Big black Porter. Nose is light on the roast, caramel, but with some surprising whisky notes. Body is medium, slick palate. Lightly sweet malts, chocolate, milk chocolate and caramel backed by a light roastiness. Finish is medium dry. Nice flavor combo but unfortunately they dropped out too quick for me. Otherwise a damn nice Porter! Props to Thebeercellar2 for this trade.

Bonus bottle from goldtwins. Pours Coca Cola colored with a creamy tan head. Burnt Chocolate aroma. Flavors of chocolate and coffee and even some dark fruits. Awesome mouthfeel just this side of thick (for a porter). Smooth hop bitterness lies just below the surface. This is an outstanding porter!

Sampled from bottle, a gigt from Staleyiv. Exodus pours blackened brown with an ample tan head. Lacing and marks each sip taken. Aroma is dominated by chocolate, but coffee is also present. Flavor is very well-balanced and is foreshadowed by the aroma. Full-bodied, but not heavy with moderate carbonation. Very drinkable!

Nice coffee aroma and taste, but mouthfeel is a bit thin for me. Still a pleasant beer, and fairly inexpensive around here, so its a good standby.

Dark brown with faint tinges of dark red, medium sized tan head. Some Cascade family hop aroma (fruitiness) combined with cocoa and muted toastiness. More toasty than roasty, with big residual malt sweetness. Some nuttiness and a tinge of phenol in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium.
