Poured a dark walnut color with minimal head. The aroma had coco, chocolate, and toasted malts. Very full and smooth smelling. The flavor was WAY better than I expected give the relatively ho-hum reviews. Toasty and creamy malts, light and mild chocolate and caramel with well balanced lightly pineish hops. Crisp slightly dry finish, but quite full and creamy. I really enjoyed this and would say this is one of the better porters I’ve had. Almost more like a stout.

Man thanks to TheBeerCellar2 for this one. Aroma was almost cloyingly sweet, but also had a bit of roastiness to it. Taste is very sweet, milk chocolatey, and creamy. Has a smooth, herbal metallic finish that I’m not too fond of though. Thick coating mouthfeel. Overall it was good, but I was not overly pleased with it. Anyways, thanks again Matt.

Thanks to TheBeerCellar2 for this beer.

Poured black with a semi-creamy light tan head. Aroma of creamy chocolate, a touch of coffee and a vinous sweetness. Taste is coffee and mild hops with a soft dry finish. Velvety body of average viscosity. Though it has an average flavor profile at best, it is a smooth and drinkable porter.

My overall favorite beer, the Exodus Porter is a great brew for even the serious beer drinker. It’s a full bodied beer that has the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. The strong palate is soothed away by the hint of chocolate malt in the aftertaste. If you like dark beer, this is what you’ve been looking for.

Aroma is alittle much. Has a great look. Taste is way too much for me. Not real impressed with this beer.

This beer is slightly bitter in taste but very very pleasing. So far I have liked Sweetwaters brews and look forward to trying the rest.

Pours black, medium head that fades quickly. Smells like malt and roasted peanuts. The hops are definately in the background here. Goes down smooth and refreshing.
