Bottle thanks to Goldtwins! Very nice porter. NIce malty, chocolate nose full of roasted grains. Head is off-white and thinnish. Taste is very malty. Roasted grains and chocolate malt predominate. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth. Slight hopping at the end brings the beer to balance. I liked this quite a bit.

Thanks to goldtwins for this. Pours dark brown with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of malt, chocoff, cabernet, slight almonds. Tastes malty, with some milk stoutiness and minor cherry flavors at the finish, along with the aforementioned aromas. Medium palate, with a somewhat sour, dry finish. This one reminded me a little of a Flemish sour, sort of like Bells’ Cherry Stout, but not as dense. Still, a nice style.

Bottled, thanks SpringsLicker! Very dark brown, airy head. Vinous coffee nose. Roasty and light bodied with sharp mouthfeel. Metallic, lightly bitter finish.

This is OK. Deep dark brown with brig white bubbles in the head. Chocolate and spices in the aroma and the flavor mirrors the aroma yet with a sour finish. Smooth yet light and effervescent. Overall... not bad, though mild.

Inoffensive if uninspired. Beer pours a dark brown with a tan thin head. Aroam is malty and nutty with hints of the chocolate malts present. Flavor is well balanced, initially sweet and malty as expected with a lightly bitter finish.

Black in color with a tan colored head that is retained. The aroma of this beer is rich roasted malt, light smoke, some chocolate. Flavor is deliciously smokey to the point where this reminds me of Alaskan Smoked Porter. Very nice brew. Thank you CaptainCouger.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black like coffee. Nose is creamy and malty. The flavor is very mild for a porter. The tastes of roasted malt, caramel, sweet cream, and iced coffee come together very well. All of the aforementioned flavors seem to compliment each other and they don’t compete. In my opinion, that is a hard thing for most beers to do. On the finish there is a sweet, almost candy like cinnamon/vanilla taste. This would be a good beer for someone who is put off by the bitterness of stouts.

Thanks to my good buddy SpringsLicker for sending me this Georgia porter! Jay is a great guy, nice as hell, and a great home brewer too boot!

Exodus pours a very dark, almost black crimson body.. you can still see the red along the edges… also has a tan head. The aroma brings a chalky ash of charred coffee and chocolate malt, a slight note of biscuit and whisky as well. The flavor brings hints of chocolate, cold coffee, butterscotch, charred marshmallows, and a hint of vanilla. The palate is a little soft, if it were more full bodied, this baby would be jamming like Bob and Ziggy.. but Bob jammed far harder than Ziggy ever will!
Overall, this is a pretty dead on porter.. I like it’s style, especially the hints of whisky!
