My overall favorite beer, the Exodus Porter is a great brew for even the serious beer drinker. It’s a full bodied beer that has the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. The strong palate is soothed away by the hint of chocolate malt in the aftertaste. If you like dark beer, this is what you’ve been looking for.

Man this was tasty! Opaque color with a subtle hop bitterness. Thick and chewy (medium body my ass!) with flavors of bitter chocolate and prunes. Awefrickinsome!!!

Wow! What a great porter! Pleasing notes of bitter chocolate and light roast on the nose. Deep ruby in color with small, quickly disappearing head. Medium body with a nice velvety mouthfeel. Cocoa puffs and bold hops envelop the tongue. A terrific drinker. Thanks to JRob-21.

Very dark red (almost black) . This beer is like a liquid dessert; immediate chocolate flavor that evolves into a malty finish. Heavy but smooth. A great beer to finish off the night.

Chocolate malt aroma and a rich tan head begin the experience. True to its claim, it's medium bodied and very chocolatey... and CREAMY! The finish is one of continuing chocolate maltiness. Delicious.

What the hell is an American Porter? Looks perfect, tan head, black as it should be, aroma is all chocolate, flavor is totally porter, chocolate, a little roasty, with barely sufficient hop bitterness to balance it out. Awesome beer.

The first thing I noticed when I poured this beer was how dark it actually was. The beer was a very dark brown with a very small head. The chocolate malt is very evident in the finish. Its also very smooth on the palate.

I love the porter. Sweetwater has a great collection of labels as well. I wish this company still had its beers in Charlottesville.
