Thanks to captaincougar for this one. 2005 bottle No. 4307 of 7200 40oz. Fizzy tan medium sized head that mostly diminished, minimal lacing, opaque, no visible carbonation, and a dark brown hue with some orange peeking through on the sides of the mug. Malty, chocolate, roasty, sweet nose. Flavor was sweet, malty, coffee, chocolate, thin, roasty, and burnt tasting. Palate was tingly and somewhat watery. Light body.

This is a annual race to buy in Atlanta. Comes in 6pk now, used to only be 4pk, 12oz back in the day. I’ve had the 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, and then I gave up. It would be nice if they really mixed it up on a yearly basis. The only difference from year to year are slight imperfections that common folk wouldn’t notice.

via trade with aracauna - Pours a deep amber color with a light off white head that faded to a film quickly. Has a spicey, malty aroma. Flavor is roasted malt, light esters and light cinnamon. Medium to full body. Nice beer. Worth a try. Thanks Jacob.

Beer pours mahogeny color with an off white head. Aroma is malty with some light spiciness. Flavor is malty, albeit somewhat boringly so. Moutfeel is nicely carbonated. Good, not great.

750 ml- Pours a dark brown with a small white head. Pretty hoppy and spicy and finishes slightly sour.

Dark brown pour. Aroma is interesting, spicey yet smokey. Flavor is all about the spice, molasses, and that aforementioned smokiness. Initial sweetness gives way to some roasted malts and mild bitterness in the end. Medium bodied....very interesting brew.

Horrendous brew. Perhaps one of the worst beers I have ever had. I don’t care to taste cinnamon or nutmeg in my beer.

2005. Black with just a red hue and a thin, tan head that is almost nonexistent. Very rich, molasses malt aroma. Saturated. Herbs, milk, caramel, and dark fruit complement the aroma. Flavor has all of the aroma components plus a thyme-like spice at the start of the palate that integrates itself nicely then dimishes towards the finish. Reminds me of a better done John Barleycorn.
