Dark brown color with no head. Sweet cinnamon aroma with cardamom (though after reading the description, I’m sure that was Mace). The malt body was a little soured. Dry hop finish and a bit of spiciness. BDR (2167), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Updated: Jan 7, 20082007 bottle pours clear cola colored with very little tan head. Both the aroma and flavor are malty and spicy with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice as well as some licorice/candy and some bourbony notes in the finish. Overall sweetness is tempered by the spices. Palate is a little on the thin side and the carbonation is relatively low, but the beer is flavorful enough to mask the 8+% ABV. A pretty nicely balanced winter warmer. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Six pack given to me by a friend who now lives in Atlanta. Had this on New Years Day at a celebration at my home. The beer is all you would expect in a holiday beer and more. Lots of spices, fruity dark malts and some hop bitterness. Reminded me of Anchor’s Special Ale. Light bodied, but full flavored. Pretty good but not spectacular. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Aroma is big, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg. Mildly sweet malt flavor. Midway through, I picked up hints of licorice and cinnamon. Finish is somewhat dry with a touch of bitterness. Nice beer to sip on while The Beer Wench wraps up the last of the presents! MaltOMeal (653), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA

Has a thin tan head which dissipated rather quickly. Aroma is sweet malt and spices, including cinnamon. Flavor is sweet malt and spices, typical Christmas ale style. Mouthfeel is medium-to-thin with a spicy aftertaste. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 19, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Clear amber, off white medium head and fair lace. Caramel and spice in the aroma, the cinnamon is quite evident. Medium body and carbonation, and a little bite on the palate, but not actually harsh. Flavor is on the sweet side, but the spicy bitterness balances well. All in all, pretty decent, .but nothing really distinctive. CaptBier (303), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
