Deep copper color, all the way to the light end of the range for a Brown Ale.
Quickly fading head gives way to a slightly sour light malt aroma.
Sweet, very little bitterness, but a little thin in the mouthfeel. Drinkable, but this brewery can do better than this. Dogbrick (2905), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2004 Thanks to skaughty for the trade. This beer pours a clear dark copper color with a medium thin off-white head. Very thin lacing. Aroma of mild malt, roasted nuts and caramel. Medium-bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Roasty grain character with malt, caramel and nut flavors. The finish is mildly sweet with just enough hops to make it nicely drinkable from start to finish. Overall this is a pretty good Brown. It isn’t big in the flavor department but it is very easy to drink. DerBiermeister (524), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 3, 2004 This is a nutty, honey malt-tasting ale. It tastes robust and a bit heavy, so be sure that’s what you’re going for when you get it. It’s a brown ale, of course, and that’s not my favourite style. It’s also not really one of the better ones of the style I’ve had. Decent, but lackluster. punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2004 I thought this was a nice beer, especially since it was the first I had on my birthday. It’s a good one to have--not too bad, but not overly special. You still have beers to look forward to when you’ve had this one. Let it warm a bit, before drinking it, else you’ll miss the subtleties of this ale. When cold, it seems watery and somewhat boring. Closer to room temp, though, it’s pretty darn good--nutty with caramel and a fuller feel on the tongue. However, it still is not as thick as it could be. But, really, though, it’s not a bad beer. Worth a try. Oh yeah, and it’s not as sweet as you might would hope or expect. skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA

It is from Georgia.
It is brown.
I can’t see the merit in this watery, roasted nut brew. Light in body, with a watery finish. Head goes "poof", as does the flavor. I’m kinda dissapointed that I included this in a couple of recent trades. Sorry! Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Clear, light brown color, big, very active head that fizzles down instantly.
Aroma, big, fat, buttery, nuttiness, large sweetness, butterscotch aplenty.
Explosive flavor, bright and far-flying, super-sweet, dark fruits, and all that noted in the nose. Light to medium bodied, a bit too thin for me. Big, bristling carbonation, very lively brew, this one.
Not the kind of thing I’d turn to too often, but not bad, not bad at all.
