12 oz bottle. Not my favorite sweetwater brew, but not my favorite style either. Caramel was there as expected in the nose and the flavor. So was the metallic finish. Just ok.

Eh, a thoroughly average brown ale. Save yourselves the trouble searching for this and just pick up a newcastle instead,

Bottle courtesy of Meg; third time I have had this in the past week; poured a medium brown color with a small to medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts and hints of sweetness and cocoa. Liked the flavor the most the first time I had it, although it is still quality for the style. Flavor was dominated by nuts, with some strong toffee elements. Slight hoppy finish. Palate was a little offputting, and the most negative aspect of the beer.

BOTM Club. Bottle. Light brown pour with medium tan head. Aroma of nuts, yeast and gingerbread. Taste of nuts and some bread with an ever so slight hoppy finish.

Stung the back of my tongue at first, but mellows down and is actually pretty badass for a brown. Probably Honkeybra’s favorite brown ale what with all the nuts in it.

Great dark brown color, inviting color with a small head. Tastes of carmel, nuts, and a hint of malts and hops. More complex than I expected from my initial aroma test. Aftertaste is kind of malty and sweet. Good beer, great brown ale.

7-3-08 bottle shared with lb4lb thanks to robbmotiwalla
Semi clear brown red amber with very little lasting head. Smell is light sweet dough. Flavor is doughy and has this generic sweetness to it and has a strange sweet aftertaste that almost reminds me of Splenda or some other similar product. Medium carbonation.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a clear amber with beige head. Aroma of caramel. Flavor of caramel, some hop, faint bitter. Light to medium body with med-high carbonation. Really tasty beer.
