This tastey beer pours a clear amber body. definately lots of nutty character, sweet aromas with a touch of a caramel, and soft creaminess in the thin vanilla coloured head.

The aroma has unmistakable chocolate, hazelnuts, caramel, grain, and hops. The appearance is light red/brown with a decent head. The flavor is like the aroma but somewhat acidic. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall a nice beer.

A round number, this brew’s 175th rating. Bottle via jrob_21 - thanks, Jonathan! Sweet malty nose, lightly roasted with nice nuttiness and slight toffee. Deep mahogany pour with a short beige head. Taste is lightly bitter, lightly sweet and lightly dry at points, finishes with a dry, lightly tangy punch. Mid-body pervaded by nuts and caramel, very malty and earthy with a light toasted element. Medium body and smooth. Very, very nice.

Bottle from frugal mcdugal in Nashville. Pours dark amber with an off white head. Approaching thin on texture. Aroma of seeping grains and maple syrup. Flavor of maple (I am thinking mcdonalds pancakes), nuts, tea and... thats about it. Somewhat sweet. Brown ales are not very exciting, but this one is not too bad. Worth a try. Would I buy a six? No.

Poured a light amber brown with a tan head. The aroma was sweet, lightly grassy, subdued, lightly citrusy. The flavor was waxy, sweet, citrusy, nice hop profile, caramel.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with medium size off white head. Aroma of malt, hops, dried fruit, and nuts. Taste of roasted malts, light bread dough and nuts. Nothing special but decent.

Bottle in Atlanta. Interesting brown beer. A bit lighter mouthfeel and taste than some browns. Good balance. Slightly above average.

12 ounce bottle- poured out the same color as weak iced tea, no head to speak of. Aroma was apple cider. Flavor was sweet apples and a little spice. No more mouth feel than water. Average.
