Commercial Description:
Definitely one of the finer American Brown Ales. A deep copper colored, mild brown ale. SGB is accentuated by a slight nuttiness from its malt character. Designed to be a session beer it has a real smooth finish with a very subtle hop character.

Medal: Gold medal winner at the 2001 Great American Beer Festival – English Style Brown Ales.

Malt: 2 Row, Black, Victory, 30-37 Carastan, 70-80 Crystal, Chocolate

Hops: Columbus, Willamette

Bottled. An unclear dark red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of of caramel, malt, and a bit of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, caramel, and a bit of butterscotch, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of brentfeesh. Hazy deep amber with a rough off-white head. Sweet nutty aroma with some perfumy hops. Medium body, overripe fruit and nuts. Perfumy hoppiness but not bitter at all. 111009

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is wooden hoppy and light fruity. Caramelish and wooden hops flavoured. Light bitterness and caramelish lingering into a smooth finish. Lasting dry malty flavoured impression.

Aroma: earthy aroma with dry chocolate and caramel, light sulphur
Flavor: rich chocolate flavor, dry caramel, lots of earthyness keeping it dry, light nutty character, nice toasted malt, low bitterness - just earthy and dry
Overall: Sweet Georgia Brown is not a sweet as she was in her youth

Cloudy deep amber with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hoppy notes. Flavour was hoppy with toasted malt, caramel and fruity notes. Finished bitter.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with aracana (thanks!). Poured a medium brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted nuts, caramel, and light cocoa. Tastes follow suit. Thinner body.
