Commercial Description:
It's nice to be able to finally brew some beer without restrictions on it. we came from Colorado where we could brew or try anything. We've been waiting 7 years to make a stout and we harnessed all that frustration into this batch of beer.

We didn't get caught up in the parameters of a specific style we just brewed a big fat hoppy beautiful beer. The timing of the law change couldn't have been better for us, because it has taken until this summer for us to get set up in our new brewery. We finally have some capacity to experiment with some new style. This could lead into a seasonal offering from us in the future. For now we're just glad we can satisfy the demands of the folks who have been on us since day 1 to make a stout.

Malt: 70/80 crystal malt, chocolate malt, black malt, roasted malt

Hops: Centennial, Willamette and cascade - on the dry hop!

12oz bottle with 2 guys fishing and a trout on the label, not an Asian chicka. Pours black with a 2 finger tan head. Nose was surprisingly hoppy, which was a nice change of pace, with a good balance of chocolate, toffee and coffee. Flavor was also quite hoppy and very full in body, a slightly tingly mouth feel. I give this Stout props for being different.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Black as tar pour with a thickish, mocha colored head that leaves solid lacing. Strong earthy aroma, with hints of marshmallows, cherries and a hint of alcohol. Flavor has some elements of dark bakers unsweetened chocolate, licorice, burnt marshmallows and some fruitness in the back end. Thick, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, a most excellent stout.

Bonus bottle from mgumby10. Cheers! Pours a silky black color with a trim reddish-brown head. Smells strongly of powdered cocoa, brandy, and dark fruit. Builds in flavor with additonal notes of barley, cherry cough syrup, caramel, coffee, and red wine. Paints your teeth with acid. Much more dense than I was expecting.

Bottle marked as best before 12/31/07 thanks to brentfresh. Age has treated this well! Pours thick with a large, fluffy, mocha color head that has good retention. Black body. Room filling aroma of roast, tons of chocolate syrup, a bit of smoke too. Very nice. Mocha and chocolate malt. Taste is mocha, rich, smokey, cocoa and a malted mocha milkshake. Very syrupy and full, mouthcoating. Light bubbles.

Pours a dark black color with a tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, coffee, caramel malts, chocolate, and some hops. Flavor wasn’t all that I was hoping for. Slightly bitter finish from the hops with a nice balance from the roasted malts.

Had it at the airport Bar in Atlanta...was not expecting much but quite a good example of an imperial stout. Thick, lustrous mouthfeel, a little chalky, but chocolate flavor present. Little to no head. Deep, dark in color. Nice kick. Glad to have such a fine stout in an airport bar.

12 oz bottle, 750ml bottle. This is the second take for this brew. The taste is a little bit funky. The body is not very full and there is little carbonation. Not my preference.
