Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Dry Hop: Columbus, Golding

On tap the SweetWater Draft House in the Atlanta airport. Comes out a hazy amber orange (which clears up as it warms a little) with a soapy white head that dissipates quickly and leaves only traces of lacing. Smell has floral hops up front with some lemon grass and hints of pine. There is an emerging tropical fruit sweetness that comes out as it warms up. There are some bready malts under the hops but it takes some looking. Taste is highly bitter up front with some fruity citrus hops coming out from underneath the strong bitterness. The bready malts come out more than in the aroma and balance the hops well before the floral hops, mainly pine, leave a lasting bitterness in the finish. Carbonation is strong and helps leave the palate sticky with floral hops. This is a very good IPA. In fact, I had forgotten how good it was. This is, hands down, the best year-round offering from Sweetwater.

On tap at Brickstore Pub. Pours a bright orange color with a small white head that quickly settles to a thin film. The aroma shows grapefruit hops, orange peel, and a hint of sweet toffee malts. The flavor is more the same with the orange peel and grapefruit hops up front with caramel and toffee malts balancing things out. Medium bodied with nice carbonation and goes down smooth. The orange in the flavor really makes this one. A nice IPA to have on draft.

This poured a bright orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was lots of nice pine notes. Flavor was also mainly piney hops with some citrus fruity notes in there as well. A nice smooth sweet malty finish in the end round this beer out greatly.

Trade with Fonefan. It is dark orange with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of citrus, grapefruit, mango and malt, that seems a bit dusty and stale, and light caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of oranges and other citrus fruits, mango, spruce, light caramel and it ends on a dry note.

Pours a deep orange with a thick white head. Aroma is citrusy, lemons and orange. Taste is well balanced, the bitter hops are met with enough malt presence to make this beer very easy to drink. I decent IPA, although not great.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange-amber, with a nice creamy white cap and delicate lacing. Nose is pungent, some resiny pine, very floral. Taste is quite hoppy - pungent, herbal, some resiny pine, a definite twang that you dont get from your standard west coast citrus-and-pine affair. Lingering bitterness is only moderate, and a the mouthfeel is crisp without letting the carbonation overwhelm the flavor. Some minerals on the finish. Medium-light body. Really nice beer - a unique take on the style.

Bottle thanks to Joe. Pours a clear amber color with a thick white head. A really nice nose of sweet hops, citrus notes and some oranges. Very rich and fresh. The flavor is similar, just loads of citrus hops, oranges, lemons, a light bitterness. Very clean and flavorful. An excellent IPA. Very quaffable, just like water, well....amazing water that will get you drunk.
