| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy amber with a huge frothy white head. Pretty sticky too. Intense floral herb and resiny nose. Very fresh and clean. Pungent flavors of fresh pine and grapefruit muddled with tangerine. A touch of lemon zest and dry herbs in a mildly sweet caramel elixir. I to detect a tonic like twang. That is cool though I like tonic water. Finishes with a shot of tart fruit that is followed by a fleeting bitterness. Definitely as good as anything you will find in a grocery store. I would like to rate it higher, however, the West coast has ruined me. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 17, 2008 12 oz bottle. Resiny floral hop aroma over caramel maltyness. Clear coppery golden with small white head. Big resiny hop flavor with a touch of fruityness and fairly high bitterness over caramel malt backbone. Medium body and mouthfeel. Finish is fairly dry and quite bitter. Very solid IPA WisconsinBeer (531), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color, minimal head with a bit of lacing. Flavor is lots of floral hopping, a bit of candi sugar, bready malts, followed by a sort of tonic like flavor, and a dry earthy finish. This particular bottle is a little bit old so the hop zest may have diminished a bit. Not bad. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 10, 2008 Finally available in TN. Clearish nectarine-colored ale sports thin yet persistent suds. Pungent nose is positively dank with piney/tangerine-y/tropical fruit ... Columbus hops at their finest. Citric/earthy hop flavor cleaves through the doughy/breadcrust malt body... hop-focused but not unbalanced. The mouthfeel is a little shy on heft. Lemon zest and quinine finish transiitions smoothly ito the woody-bitter aftertaste. One of the few American IPAs that delivers on hops. Outstanding

Smells of hops............no I’m serious...Very big hoppy smell. The taste is very citrusy, and evergreen, reminded me almost of pineapple. Could drink this allday. Wish I had more of this. Might have to swing through Atlanta. theisti (1689), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2008 12 oz bottle from Suttree. Best if enjoyed by 12/14/08 stamped on the bottle. Pour is mostly clear golden orange with active carbonation bubbles and a pretty two inch off white head. Some sticky lacing is left behind. Aroma of resin citrus, orange sweet with some pine notes. Fresh hop nose, nice. Taste is the nose, pine, resin, citrus; though its not quite as fresh or bright as the nose. Some bitterness towards the finish. Some musty, almost pineapple sour present as well. Palate is medium, with earthy lingering bitterness. Overall, a nice IPA, thanks Phil! Plimmer (251), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Bottle 12oz. Slightly hazy amber/orange body with a dense head. Very fresh nose with lots of hops and flowers. Lots of hops and citrus in the body and a hoppy aftertaste. Really good and drinkable beer. AllAboutStout (605), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2008 Pours a dark amber in color with a very nice, frothy, bubbly head.
Smell is very green, sticky icky hops. These come through even more in the taste. Don’t know if it was intended or the hops just weren’t ready. But it’s a bit too much to get past. Different.
