Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Darn good IPA w/ a strong and fresh hop presence. Maybe doesn’t have the complexity and magic of the best examples of the style but is enough to keep most hop heads interested.

Deep copper color with a surprsingly tan head for an IPA. Dissipates with nice lacing. Beautiful breadiness with powerful vegetal, piney hops. Beer sits well on the tongue, is smooth and weighty. Caramel flavors transition into a distinct pine and vegetal hop finish. Something I can’t pinpoint though seems ’off’ as the beer enters the mouth and plays between the nose and the tongue. Otherwise, solid.

On tap, Atlanta International Airport location. Imperial pint glass! Deep orange, tawny pour, light tan head with decent lace. Citrusy, faint nose (served a bit too cold), pine notes. Malty, citrus flavor, grapefruit, hop resin, alcohol. Finishes with a hop bite, a hint of alcohol, and some pine. A really nice IPA. Well balanced.

Bottle. Pours nice darkish orange, with a medium off white head. Aroma is awesome lots of flowery hops, pinappley hops, grapefruity hops, and some resiny hops. This beer really has an awesome aroma. The flavor is also tastefully hoppy, not overdone, not trying to be a double IPA, but perfect pineapple, some spicy notes, and a bit of malts for balance. Mouthfeel is medium, this beer has session potential, but can also be savored. Sweetwater really made an awesome IPA with this one.

Pours dark copper with a chil haze, and a quarter inch head of off-white that settled quickly. A ring of lacework remained. Aromatics are filled with lush tropical fruit..Oh, yea.. I’m diggin this one. Apricots, mango, tangerine, peaches, sugared grapefruit. Some mild malt follows through, but its all about the fruit, baby. Medium bodied and slightly chewy. Slightly creamy carbonation while retaining some tackiness. The pallet starts off with more grapefruit and spruce juice than the tropicals. Mildly bitter with malt to balance. The apricots, peaches, and mangoes follow through along with plenty of firm bitterness and a hint of alcohol. Finishes with lingering ripe fruit, juicy malt, and a minerally crispness. This was a great one to follow up the Hoptical Illusion with.
