Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Dry Hop: Columbus, Golding

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Kramer17801. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Distinct aroma of pine and citrus. Medium body with lightly sweet, pale malts and then lots of sweetish, fruity accents from the aroma hops. Lovely. 060407

Bottle. Hazy amber colour. Sweet piney aroma. Flavour of hops, quite sweet, malty with some citrus. Sweet hoppy finish.

Sample. Pours orange slight unclear. Aroma is sweet hops. Taste has the same with vague malt notes. Finish is hoppy-dry.

12oz bottle(best b4 5/29/07). Pours light to medium golden color, with snowstorm of floaties. Nice dry, sweet floral hop nose, accompanied by a good malty presence. Very minimal, light lacing and head. Sharp piney hops dance along the malt flavor. Something disconnected about this. Agree w/ brstp - something missing, and leaves me wanting(more??). Pretty light IPA all the way around-not my idea of "mammoth". Decent session or summer/warm weather brew. - UPDATE 4/13 - -Obviously my first bottle was a bad one. Seems one can only rate numerically once, so my rating will reflect the 2nd bottle, and not the 1st. 2nd bottle had same best B4 date as 1st. Color appeared more light-to-medium golden-orange than before, slightly hazy, and NO floaties. Aroma was sumptuously dry-hopped- virtually made my eyes roll back in my head. Very nice! Light lacing, medium foam. Flavor was wonderful sweet floral hops-not overdone, just right- very well paired with the malt to make for a smooth-almost soft, highly drinkable, eminently enjoyable brew- a real pleasure. Just gobbled this beer up! Alcohol % is about perfect for the style. This is sure to become a spring/summertime(or anytime) fave of mine. So glad I have the opportunity to re-rate this. 1st bottle had to be an anomaly. 2 time time to rhyme twice as nice. Like to root for the home team!

Thanks to DLacayo. Bottle: Flouwery bouquet hits you right from the start, complex body with ample taste scale ranging from citrus to bitter hops. An impressive IPA.

Really good IPA. Beatiful hops which are masterfully combined with peach/citrus and malt. Long lasting finish which I can still taste the hops in my mouth. Highly recommended.

Bottle courtesy of ross. Best before: 12.31.06. Pours a hazy bubbly orange-amber with a large lasting creamy off-white head -- nice! Sweet pleasant hoppy aroma with some toasty malt, spices and fruit. Flavour’s hoppier then I expected which is a good thing. Resiny and citrus hops backed by sweet malt and a nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Easy to drink, a nice session IPA.

Gift from Loose Cannon. 12 oz bottle. Opps, bottle says best if enjoyed by 03/05/07, I am 2 days late. I like the label, the guy is fishing and his wife is rowing the boat, no motors here but this brew pours a nice clear amber with a foamy head that leaves quickly but the seriously strong hops aroma doesn’t. Sweet malty undertones also present in the aroma. First sip is surprisingly smooth. I was preparing for an all out bitterness assault based on the aroma but this warming, citrusy sweet, bitter hops creation is right on baby. Great IPA, very drinkable, solid bitter aftertaste.
