Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

12oz bottle, courtesy of TheBeerCellar2. Thanks, Matt! Pours a cloudy yellowish-brown; small head with minimal lacing. Tons of grapefruit and citrus in the aroma; mouthwatering. Full, chewy mouthfeel: lots of grapefruit and passion fruit; well-balanced malt profile; the density and warmth of this beer is close to a double IPA. Nothing special to look at, but very aromatic and satisfying. Long, slightly dry finish, showing citrus and vanilla.

Bottle from Larry (Goldtwins). This is a pretty unique IPA, with resonant and lovely sweet lemons in the flavor, something not commonly encountered. It plays off a light malt balance and is hop forward with good bitterness.

12 oz bottle via goldtwins (thanks!). Pours a hazy amber with a small quickly dissipating head. Nose is Orange, grapefruit and pine. Taste start with some sweet honey and caramel, then some bittersweet grapefreuit, and a dry pine finish. Pine lingers awhile in the aftertaste as well. Carbonation is moderate and body is medium. Pretty good but finish is just a bit too dry and and metallic.

Fizzy off-white head atop a slightly cloudy amber pour. Stong citrus aroma mixed with sweet caramel with a hint of strawberries. Toasty malty sweet flavor followed by a crisp bitter finish. Nice IPA.

Thanks to both Larry (goldtwins) and Matt (TBC2) for this one! Orangey amber pour w/ coppery highlights and a lasting medium sized pillowy white head. Grassy and piney hop aromas at first. Some resiny hops as well. Caramel and toasty malts seem a bit thin compared to hops, but hey, it’s an American IPA! The combination and intensity of hops makes it almost herbal together. Flavor is well balanced for the most part. A bit on the sweet side at very first sip, resiny hop flavor throughout! Lightly dry and bitter finish. Toasty malt flavor comes out more int he flavor than the aroma w/ a touch of caramel. Herbal hop flavors into the finish and aftertaste, but also some floral notes pop into the late lingering aftertaste. Very little fruitiness in either flavor or aroma. Lighter medium body, well hidden alcohol, smooth w/ a lower medium carbonation to keep it from being prickly. Nicely done Sweetwater! Very refreshing, almost thirst quenching beer, even though it’s New Year’s Eve on a rain soaked day in northeast Ohio!

Bottle. NIce sweet orange-grapefruit hops aroma. Clear orange-yellow color with small head. Flavor an excellent sweet grapefruit and light malt. Moderate hops finish. Well blended - the bitterness doesn’t overwhelmed the beer. Very nice IPA.
