Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Dry Hop: Columbus, Golding

Amber in color with a decent head. The Sweetwater IPA just doesn’t impress me that much. The aroma is of floral hops. The mouthfeel is very thin. Taste is hoppy, floral, a slight hint of citrus, and watery. Definitely not one of my favorite IPA’s.

Bottle from goldtwins. Two days off in the middle of the week means that I am drinking a bit of beer. Went to Louisville yesterday and hit BBC, rich o’s, and Willy’s. Today I am relaxing at home with a few. Smells of tangerine, and lemons. Pours a cloudy copper with a huge yellow white head that doesn’t plan on going anywhere for a while. Hop flavor is there, but not over the top. A real IPA, not a double IPA in disguise, I like truth in advertising. A bit of grass, some orange notes, a sweet malt background that has a bit of maple syrup to it. Thin body that helps this to quench a thirst, or awaken one whatever the case may be. Not a bad brew to start a morning with. Thanks for the bottle, Larry. Ap-4 ar-6 tas-7 pal-4 ov-15

Bottle, from trade with goldtwins. Best if enjoyed by. month 8 week 5. Huh, week 5. Anyway. Great nose, sweet. Fruity. Peach, apricot, mango, pineapple. Toffee too. Tad hazy orangy bronze color. Small head that faded to a ring. Nice lacing. Bittersweet flavor. Grapefruti kicks in other fruits follow as it rolls on the tongue. Little soapiness too. Thick body, creamy oily mputhfeel. Got grit. Bitter finish. dries as it goes. Great brew. Worthy of it’s hype. Thanks goldtwins!!!

Hazy light amber color with a small frothy white head. Sweet caramel aroma with some floral hops in the end. Strong caramel flavor with some light floral hops in the background. Thanks to CaptainCougar for sending this to Richmond.

Another big thanks to CaptainCougar for sending this to me. Golden body with a bit of cloudiness, light ivory head that diminishes quickly. Excellent aroma, very light spices along with hops and caramel sweetness. Very good taste, caramel hops dominate, along with some light fruit accents. Cool, bready ending.

12 oz bottle courtesy of goldtwins... thanks. Deep orange, slightly hazy beer with a thin white head. Sweet tropical aroma, grapefruit, some mango/pineapple and a bit of pine needle zing. Sweet rich malts as well, but they accent the hops rather than competing with them. Piny hop flavour with some light tropical notes and a bit of earthiness as well. Palate seems a bit light, but there is so much character that is still comes across well-balanced. Tasty IPA.

A hazy golden amber beer with an aroma of hops and malt. The flavor of the hops just slightly beats out the malt but pretty well balanced. A nicely carbonated palate that isn’t fizzy or watery.

Pours a pale orangish color with a nice size head that fades within the first two minutes (except for a thin film that lingers longer). Pleasant citrus aroma. I pick up a lot of orange in the taste. I like it: my favorite of the Sweetwater staples.
