Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Dry Hop: Columbus, Golding

The best balanced IPA east of the Mississippi...bar none. Kudos to the folks in Atlanta for staying true to this style. For those that haven’t tried this one, you need to. When you open the bottle, the nose is hit with a sledgehammer. Hops, hops, hops...mostly piney, some citrus as well. But the aroma - which is a significantly important feature to the IPA style, in my opinion - is the richest of IPAs on the East Coast. The overall balance is well atoned with citrus and malt balanced by a great hop finish. Some day soon, people will catch onto this one.

(Bottle (best by end of Feb ’06) via trade with beeryum, thanks Dave!) Pours cloudy yellowish amberish orange, can actually see some solids suspended in there. Biscuit head with some solids within. Spotty foamy lacing. Aroma is mild fruity hops and malt, a little bready. Mouthfeel full, pretty smooth, a little "raw". Flavor is lightly fruity with mice malt and fairly bitter finish. Good, not overdone with hops. Sort of feels like good homebrew.

Courtesy of a Ratebeerian who is a fine human being, but whose name I have forgotten
Citrusy in both the bitter rind qualities and the sweeter orange fruit aromas. Lusterous amber in color with a thumb thick white head that is mostly lasting. Sweet fore tastes a bit of orange/lemon spiked cake, slightly toasty with a firm malty feel. Hops are fairly low in bitterness and an excellent compliment to the fruity malt base. I put of trying this because I tend to dislike IPA’s (really hoppy ones anyway) but this is a tasty fine beer.
