Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Dry Hop: Columbus, Golding

Hazy peach color, fizzy white head. Soft nose of grapefruit, florals, evergreen, and toffee, with an underlying tone of apricot and caramel. Subdued up front citrus hop bite with a decent caramel malt backing throughout. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, slightly dry, hoppy finish. Nice brew that shares some flavor similarities with Alpha King...

Bottle. This seems like a bit of a legendary IPA here on ratebeer, but i just didn’t see it. Nice hoppy aroma, bursting with lychee, grapefruit, pine and all those things you associate with an IPA. Unfortunately it fades away on the palate a little bit. There are some fruity hop characters as the aroma suggested, but there was a flat boiled vegetable character that just wouldn’t go away. I was really dissapointed.

Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. A copper gold coloured beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is strong on the piney hops and is also nicely citric. The taste is also full on hops - grapefruit and mouth puckering bitterness. One of the hoppier IPAs I’ve had but there is just the problem of the body being too light which we all picked up. That besides a top beer. Big thanks to CaptainCougar for bringing this one over to Kook and to Kook for sharing.

Bottle at London Gathering Nov 05. Copper colour with thin white head. Ooops another intense US IPA with grapefruit and hop. OK in mouth, but doesn’t live up to its nose. Bit thin in mouth and on finish. This rather lets it down

Bottle @ London Gathering Nov 05. Graoefruit and hop resins. Slightly thin body with high hop bitterness. Drinkable but malt not there to balance

Bottle Courtesy of Aracauna via trade. Nice citrusy aroma with oranges and citrus hops. Pours a transparent orange witih a slight haze and an off-white head. Very nice lacing. Lots of sweet orange up front and fruity sweetness in general. Finishes with a mild grapefruit hoppiness. Hops could be strengthed a little to balance all the fruity sweetness.

Nov, 2005. Kilburn Palace Bottle Fest. Lacks body, but nicely oily-hoppy. Soaked hop flavours. Malt is not interesting, but the oily hops are pleasant.

Bottle at Chris’. Others weren’t too keen on this one, but I really liked it. Hazy orange with a fluffy white head. Strong, hoppy aroma. Really juicy, fragrant IPA with citric bitterness, some sweetness and floral notes. Great.
