Excellent hazy orange color with lovely bits of sedement swirling about. Has a definitive hoppy bite that grabs you by the balls and forces you to take notice. As the bottle suggests, this one ain’t for beginners. But if you’re a well-traveled hop head, this beer’s for you. fluids (364), USA

Very dry grapefruit citrus rind with tiny bit of sweetness. Dry finish. Excellent IPA. I got this from a friend traveling across the Northeast on a beer tour. HumuloneRed (750), Portland, Oregon, USA

Bottled. Pours a murky, orange, copper color with a foamy ivory head. The aroma is pine and oranges with just a bit of a yeast aroma as well(?). Good malt backbone with a good bit of grassy hoppiness. Chalky aftertaste. 3.3
Re-Rate: Thanks again to goldtwins for this new bottle brewed with the new recipe. Murky copper colored pour with a sizable head. The nose is almost all grapefruit with some malt notes. Nice malt backbone with a ton of grapefruit notes. Nicely balanced with a clean aftertaste. Fantastic IPA! Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Sampled from bottle, a gift from Stalyiv. This IPA pours a faintly hazt, dark copper with an adequate off-white head. The aroma from the dry-hopping makes this a very aromatic beer. It smells of fresh flowers. The flavor is nicely bitter with floral and spicy hops dominating. The toasted, caramel malt backbone is subdued by the hops, but still present. Medium-bodied and probably too carbonated. Bitterness lingers. A good ale, but not quite as complex and enjoyable as Sweetwater’s 420. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 23, 2005 Pours with an orange-amber body topped by a thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet, malty and fruity with an underlying grassy hop note and a touch of artificial grape flavor. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly dry. zug4abby (287), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2005 Pours a cloudy orange color with a minimal head and very litlte lacing. The aroma includes oranges, hops and some sort of berry (maybe raspberry?) Tastes kind of like a fake grape soda. I didn’t particularly enjoy this beer and the combination of weird berry and hop flavors
