Aroma of floral hops, grapefruit, and light pine. Taste is not too hoppy, has a nice bite but also some nice sweet caramel malt. Quite mild all the way around, in both taste and aroma. Mouthfeel is light and quenching, more watery, but not in bad way. Quite sessionable, goes down quickly! robertjm (412), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2009 (trade with Suttree). Pours white head that goes away quickly. Orange color body, bordering on amber. Nice hoppy aroma which carries forth into the flavor. Bottle had "Best by 04/09/09) on it. Makes me wonder how in your face the hops would be freshly on draft. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Hazy orange color with a small white head. Aroma is very sweet, fruity, caramel. Flavor of citrus hops, caramel and candy. Coltrane (108), South Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 18, 2009 Hopslam light. Needs to be consumed fresh, and if it is its fantastic. More sweetness than almost any IPA, but its of the fruity variety as opposed to just sugary variety. Same goes for that smell. Wonderful ’session’ IPA, with an excellent ballance of sweet to hops. Which is why if it isnt consumed fresh, the sweetness is too much. Strangebrewer (222), Chatham, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 18, 2009 bottle. Clear amber colour with off-white head with good lacing. Sickly sweet candy, floral hop aroma. Crisp hop bite, bitter right through to finish. Some citrus peel and caramel flavours. stefanje (947), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of lithy. Thanks. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a small white head that soon dissipates. The aroma is big and bold with a fair amount of spicy green chlorophyll, lantana blooms and some grapefruit. The flavor is bready/malty with citrus, subdued hops, caramel and lightly biter walnuts. The mouthfeel is light and malty. The finish is short and dry. Overall: More like a British ESB than a US IPA, but still quite well crafted. Every IPA doesn’t really need to hit you over the head with insanely biter hops now does it? Very smooth and session-able.
