Commercial Description:
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

Hops: Columbus, Golding

Dry Hop: Columbus, Golding

Bottle shared by andrew. Thanks brother. Light orange in color. Great nose on it. Lots of fruit. Bannana, wheat, fruity hops. Taste is sweet, just a little fruit taste towards it. Texture is average. Kind of bleh in the after taste....Overall...nothing special except the nose...

Also on tap at the hotel bar in ATL. I do not agree with this rating. I would not say I am outraged, however. The description doesn’t fit well, it wasn’t super hoppsy or something. Kind of like a disappointing boring IPA like Weyerbachers before Double Simcoe (the one with the blue label, I’m talking about). I guess I"ll try it again since people seem to like it. Maybe I misjudged. Edit 07/27/09: Had it again this weekend in NoDa. Must have been something wrong with the first taste, or the bartender gave me the wrong beer. It was much, much better. Not elite level IPA, had some weird metallic tinge to it, but really good.

Bottle courtesy of lithy– thanks Justin! Pours clear dark gold with a half finger off-white head with nice lacing. The nose is caramel malt and ripe citrus. The taste is orange, tangerine, toffee and pineapple with a tart grapefruit finish. Medium bodied. Good IPA!

Tap at Trappeze, Athens GA Pours amber/orange with off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma of sweet fruits, caramel and good citrus presence. Taste. plenty of caramel malts, fruity, light bodied with nice bitter hoppy finish. Was getting a hazelnut/apricot on the palate, enjoyable beer, well balanced.

Bottle. Slightly hazy, orange color. Gentle flowery aroma and soft mouthfeel. I’d like a bit more bite in the after taste, but I don’t think that is what they were going for, so I won’t hold it against them. This is my favorite beer from Sweetwater.

Bottle: Thanks Secret Santa! Pours an orange color with good clarity and a dense off white head. Aroma is of mild citrus- a touch catty, mild butterscotch (diacetyl) and mild resiny character. Nice fluffy mouthfeel. Simple flavor- a touch catty with a light sweet malt (nutty crystal) notes as well. Subdued citrus hop notes throughout. A bit simple.

bottled. Aroma has mango, ananas, grapefruits. Very hoppy. Hazy, orange coloured with a thin, off-white head. The taste is bitter, slightly sweet, has all the fruits in it. Quite hoppy, medium bodied beer. Dry, slightly sharp finish.
