| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Thanks to Daknole for the bottle. Drank on 12/20, label says best if enjoyed by 12/21, haha just in the nic of time. Pours an orange amber with a small white head, that dissipates into small bubbles. Aromas of some dark fruits, cherries and lots of caramel malts. Flavors up front are sweet malts, and caramel. The finish is more malt, and very little hops, and very little bitterness. beachbum25 (786), Powellville, Maryland, USA

Tastes more like a standard amber ale than a English Strong, has a little bit of a hop bite to it, some roasted malt. Not bad, but not spectacular. Long bitter finish Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium

Pours a slightly hazy amber with a small bubbled white lace. Nose is slightly hoppy, with some honey and sweet malt. Flavor shows some depth in the hops. Apricot, peach, earthy hops surround the malts. Better than I expected. daknole (2941), Plantation, Florida, USA

Pours dark red with plenty of tan head the leaves some nice lace. The nose is bready and pretty sweet with an earthy hop character. The flavor is balanced with slightly over cooked biscuits with a touch of jam, and earthy and herbal hop bitterness. Fuller body and a bit sticky. Balanced finish. Certainly enjoyable.
