The small, foamy white head doesn’t last very long. The aroma is doughy yet slightly sweet with some fruit as well as hints of grass and spice. The flavor contains pale, bready malt and is modestly sweet with some fruitiness to it. It has a spicy and grassy bitterness in the finish like a Pils. The bitterness actually begin to bite just before the finish and then sticks, inviting another drink. This beer has a clean finish and is light, with a smooth mild level of carbonation. Overall it is zesty and refreshing. Quite interesting and lively.
12 fl. oz. bottle (Best if enjoyed by 09/17/07) slipped into my cooler by decaturstevo at the August Cincinnati RateBeer Gathering. Thanks Stevo! I’m glad you could make it up here and I appreciate the thoughtfulness. Rating #47 for this beer... badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Primarily a grainy aroma and taste, with a bit of sweetness on the finish. Rather plain, but a nice little session ale. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Aug 7, 2007 This is like a very light lager. It isn’t bad, there is a little malt flavor, but very light overall. The pilsner would have been more interesting. Very light hops in the finish. Skyview (4095), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Single 12-oz bottle shared my Badgerben, pours a pale golden yellow brew with an average white head that slowly dissolves and leaves behind a decent head and lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, citrus zest, musty wood and a touch of pepper. Taste is light to medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of multi-grain malt, slightly bitter hops and some spice. Finish is slightly sweet, and then a clean cut taste. NachlamSie (1653), Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Bottle best before Sept. 17, 2007. Pours a light golden color with a small white head. Actually, this is pretty light. The aroma has strong papery hops with touches of cedar, a bit of fresh corn, and a lightly sweet citrus aspect. Hm, pretty interesting beer here. I once had a pilsener-styled ale from another brewery that was a bit disappointing. I’m not a big pilsener fan, but this has some admiral qualities borrowed from the style and melded into this summer quencher. The finish is pretty dry due to the hops, but the initial deliver wets my whistle. This is obviously meant to be a light-bodied summer beer, but it has admirable character and no real flaws. It’s not overly sweet, it’s clean, and it’s just a little bit different than a straight up golden ale or a pils. Probably not strikingly variant enough for me to identify those nuances without reading it on the label, but it’s a neat beer. One of the better in a lackluster style.
