You can definitely taste the pilsener but strangely, it also tastes something like an ale. I wouldn’t say I love this beer, but it definitely gets points for being interesting and creative. bconger (78), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2008 Bottle. Honey-colored pour with a medium white head. Aromas of grain and hops. Rather thin palate with jazzy hops that linger on the back of the tongue. This beer can’t quite make up its mind what it is...it’s not Sweetwater’s best, but it’s a fun experiment and really not a bad beer. shp555 (1690), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Aroma is honey, grain, and lots of spicy peppery hops. Flavor is grain, biscuit, pilsner malts, and a spicy peppery hop finish. ucusty (1913), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 23, 2008 Barely hazy and gold. White head that really dissipated quickly. Grassy aroma. Slightly fruity up front with a hop tease finish. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 13, 2008 It Definitely has a pot quality to the aroma. There is also cheese, corn and grassy hops. The appearance is cloudy gold with a small head. The flavor is astringent with all the elements from the aroma. The palate is thin. I don’t like this one despite all the lovely qualities. j/k Cybercat (818), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2008 Aroma is well-rounded, malty and yeasty with a hint of banana. It pours a nice clear amber with a very thick white head that sticks around. Flavor is interesting - like a lager, and yet hoppy like an IPA, crisp, both hop-bitter and fruity-sweet, a little tart. If this beer was the result of an accident, it was a happy one, resulting in a smooth, sassy, satisfying ale. CheersMate1 (831), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 22, 2008 This beer has a nice gold color with a slight caramel hue. The beer looks like a brew that my bro and I just brewed. It is just funny how they are charging nearly 9$ for this crap. This beer has a nice fruity aroma. It has a pilsner/fruit aroma. I smell the hops slightly, but they are not that pungent. I can see where it started out as a pils, but they decided to change the recipe. A subtle hop aroma, but mainly matls. Not really that creamy. It seems like they watered the beer down a wee bit. It can be creamy at times, but not as much as I would like it to be. There are some nice flavors here, but there is nothing that stands out. The beer is a huge let down considering Sweetwater is a local brewery to me. For an ale this thing needs some work. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a small short lived white head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt and butter. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Good.
