shp555 (1677), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 7, 2009 Cask: Pours a brown color with a light brown head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, roast, caramel, citrus and earthy hops. Flavor is caramel, roast, toast, some wheat, and smooth caramel toast finish. GAManiac (1123), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 21, 2009 Cask at the brewery.
Pours dark brown with a bubbly off-white head that recedes slowly and left just a hint of lacing.
The aroma as very interesting with a big floral hop kick up front before giving way to some dark chocolate underneath. There is also some banana from the wheat.
The taste also has some hops up front, citrus mainly with some floral, with the chocolaty malt base underneath. Less wheat in the taste that I could sense.
The mouthfeel is smooth and oily with low carbonation. It’s a little thin on the palate.
Very interesting mix of beers with a dry hop kick on top. It doesn’t come together perfectly, but it’s not too bad. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jan 18, 2009
