19641948 (492), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 29, 2007 Growler from the Merrifield, VA location. Pours a frosted golden yellow with a healthy white head. Aroma is sweet and sugary with a background air of funk. Flavors of yeast, lemon, sugar, esters, and a pinch of coriander or peppercorn. Spritzy finish. Sharp and crisp. jrob_21 (848), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 13, 2007 Draft sample at falls church. This is a decent belgian golden ale. Light on the malt character so could improve that aspect. Hazy, opaque, yellow color with a big white head. Good spices. Big clove and faint cinnamon aromas and flavors. webjedi (247), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA Dec 5, 2006 Pretty delish from the growler. A nice American attempt a a passable Belgian. It had a nice bite, a bit heavier on the wheat than one would expect and some partiality to a light malt as well. Looks good in the glass. Plesantly fizzy and creamy at the same time. (Growler 9/1/2006) The_Beer_God (2838), Newport News, Virginia, USA Mar 22, 2005 From the growler. Gold body with a faomy white head. Nose is lemony with light spices, some grains, and yeast. Taste is very lemony and yeasty. Some sweet malts, spice (cardomom), light notes of candy sugar, and grains. At times, this tasted like an American wheat. Body is light and sort of fizzy with variable moments of creaminess. Finish is more cardomom, citrus, wheat, and light sweet amlts. Decent. hopscotch (4485), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 11, 2004 Updated: Feb 28, 2005Clear, light golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is of spiced pears. The flavor is fruity and well-balanced. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Spicy, crisp finish.
