Appearance: Pours a nice amber orange color with a foamy, off-white head. Excellent head retention and it left sheets of lacing all the way down the glass.
Aroma: Aggressive pine hop nose with a bit of grapefruit and herbal notes.
Flavor: Flavor! Sweet flavor! I can’t tell you how nice it is to finally have one of their beers that actually has a flavor profile! Anyway, I digress. Some pine resin, a good bit of hop citrus, some earthy hops, honey, and a floral sweetness. Pretty good!
Palate: Medium-low carbonation with a medium body and a long, bitter finish.
Overall: The best one that they had on tap in the Sterling location yesterday and really the only one worth drinking. Recommended.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2009 On tap at Merrifield: Transparent orange amber with stringy-lacing off-white head. Semi-sweet caramely malty nose has some resiny grapefruity notes. Starts with good fullness and sweet caramel and toasty pale malts with a decent bittering and flavoring hop balance before a crisp, bittersweet finish. A pretty decent IPA. radagast83 (1314), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2009 Draft at Merrifield location. Pours a coper color with a medium white head. Aroma of light hops, citrus, caramel, malts. Not very hoppy. Flavor is citrus, medium hops, malt, toffee. Not awful, but certainly would not impress an extreme hop head as it appears to be more in keeping with it’s European counterparts as opposed to "American IPA" dkachur (2402), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Pours a clear golden copper color with an eggshell foamy head. Aromas gave off a green leafy hop presence with a fair amount of soil. Dry English IPA flavors cover the tastebuds. Crystal maltiness and a reserved hop character. Crisp and staccato aftertaste. A nice change from the fruity American hop bombs. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 25, 2006 Kokopelli IPA is a British IPA by
style, brewed with imported British malts, and
imported Challenger hops. But unlike the many restrained
versions of British India Pale Ale, Kokopelli has a
very vibrant hop character in aroma, flavor, and
bitterness. This beer is dry hopped(conditioned in the
tank over hops) with copious amounts of Challenger
hops, and comes in at a very respectable 60+ IBU
(bitterness units), and 6.5% abv.
Kokopelli IPA pours to a beautiful deep golden to
light amber color, with a dense bright white head, and
a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is
just bursting with fresh, vibrant, flowery/citric hop
aromas. The palate is firm with lots of good pale and
crystal malt flavor, and a nice back drop of tart
apple like estery fruit flavor, and hop flavor.
Kokopelli IPA finishes with more malt and fruit
flavors up front, then ends with a big burst of zesty
hop bitterness that lingers.
