WeeHeavySD (1841), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Mar 28, 2008 From a wonderfully large and menacing growler via Kmweaver. Shared with my GF Cyn and likely a whole bunch of people later tonight. Pours golden sparkly clear with a nice big puffy white head. Really nice head retention, really nicely sealed flip top growler. Nose is sweet and light and pretty damn nice. Hoppy with a bright lemony citrus bite. This is really damn tasty and a little bitter and pretty damn awesome for the style, probalby wouldn’t seek this out unless I had known it was so good, this could be sessioned for days. Very drinkable and full of flavor. scraff (1667), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Mar 19, 2008 Draft - Merrifield - Best of the bunch here in my opinion. Clear sparkling yellow, fluffy white head (great lacing). Fruity buttery florals and hints of grassiness rests on soft notes of white bread. Crisp hoppy lemony earth and touches of herbal pepper balance over soft sweet yeasty notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. A very nice rendition which is perfect for food pairing or sessions... jjpm74 (3087), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Mar 6, 2008 Fresh growler courtesy of kmweaver. Pours a brilliant gold with a nice white head. Smells of light lemons, perfume, straw, hay, dry malt, hints of sweetness. Tastes subtly dry with a dominant bitterness. Lots of biscuits and earthiness as the beer settles out. Mouthfeel is crisp. Some hints of fruit on the finish. Excellent! ryan (1707), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Feb 29, 2008 Clear straw body with a large, creamy white head that fades to a cover. Herbal/grassy hop dominated nose with lemon and light dough. The flavor is fairly dry, moderately bitter with lots of grassy and herbal hops, light lemon, light bread and a bit of hay. Medium body is round with moderate carbonation. Finish is long with a clean, crisp bitterness. Awesome. kmweaver (2118), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Feb 26, 2008 Draft, Merrifield location. Pours a clear, pale golden color; bright white head with solid retention and fine-bubbled lacing; a gorgeous pour. Solid amounts of dry mineral bitterness in the aroma; yellow fruits, very nicely dry. Medium mouthfeel: tons of soft mineral and citrus bitterness; chewy yellow fruits and toasty malts; very creamy on the palate, while maintaining its dryness overall; very accomplished, surprisingly good pilsner. Lengthy finish: dry bitterness, mineral hops, and toasty malts; clean, crisp ending to a tasty beer.
