GAManiac (1123), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 21, 2009 On cask at the brewery.
Pours a hazy golden with a small collection of big bubbles on the top which recede quickly leaving no lacing.
The aroma has a massive pine hop kick from the simcoe dry hopping. There is a bit of bready malt in the back along with some fruity hops.
The taste is very mild with an initial hop kick up front that gives way to a pretty bland backbone of bready malts. The finish is dry and slightly bitter.
The mouthfeel is fairly dead with no carbonation to speak. Very slick.
I was not too impressed with this cask despite a decent aroma from the dry hopping. OK but nothing to stand out. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jan 18, 2009
