Deep brown amber pour. Medium caramel and honey maltiness on the nose. Cloying maltiness on the flavor with a semi sour finish. Thin but not bad carbonation was good. Overall a decent offering.

I guess I’m in the minority with this one. Nice earthy aroma with a hint of sweetness. Peaty and nutty mouthfeel with a slight caramel sweetness to it. Rather drinkable, and one of the better samples of the night.

Sample at the brewpub. Medium clear walnut, hints of foam...sweet nuts in an diacetyl-tainted buttery nose...sourness present throughout the body and an odd vinous quality, but there’s a bit of nice sugary nuttiness underneath.

Nice smoked malty aroma. Not much else going on in the nose. Almost opaque mahogany with small white head. Well, this has potential. VINEGAR! HOLY SHIT! I can’t drink this crap. Water+Vinergar+Smoked Malts = Brown Ale. This was purely putrid and undrinkable. The vast and overwhelming majority of beers at the Ratebeer homebrew competition vastly exceeded this beer. How these people can make money is amazing. Homebrewers, go for it...you cant be this bad!

(Draught) Thin, dissipating beige head and brown body. Slight malt nose. Pleasant caramel flavour and slightly carbonated. Nice gritty finish.

Sweet malt aroma, but again the lactic acid barrage, with some sweetness thrown inn...depressing.

Butter, cherry and vinegar aroma. Very deep brown. Standard Newcastle knockoff -- cidry and undermatured, tastes like my early homebrew. Medium hopping, light fruit and sweetness. Hops are a bit too brewed.
