Sep 24, 2008 Black with tan head and lace. Chocolate and coffee with a toasted maltiness. Nice chocoffee flavor with a decent bitter finsih. Just a tad thin but drinkable.

May 11, 2008 In short: A messy, borderline infected black beer. Avoid
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Dark-brown body with a little beige head
In long: A clash of roastiness, honey and vinegary tartness. No need to say that it was pretty bad. I’m not gonna waste any more time describing this as I believe it would be a waste of valuables Zeros and Ones.

Nov 20, 2006 Ugh, this was downright horrible. Looked nice enough in the glass. Somewhat of a roasty and chocolatey aroma, but it’s mostly sour. Mouthfeel is disgustingly sour and vinegary. I thought maybe there was something wrong with the batch, but it looks like I’m not the only one with this observation. Ugh, horrible.

Dec 22, 2004 Sample at the brewpub. Dark but thin-looking, thin lasting head...chocolate-vinous nose is alright but a bit weird...extremely vinous/grapy body with little carbonation, syrupy in the middle and carboardy and unfinished-feeling at the end. Thank you, no.
