muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA May 1, 2006 Draught sample at the Mount Pleasant, SC location (nitro). Black but hints of light peer through, faint lasting dark head....big sweet chcolate nose with really intense notes of licorice and ripe sweet cherry....sugary-sweet body with sour grapes and a bit of mineral quality and cold coffee helping to dry it out considerably towards the thin watery finish, though this is so syrupy at the front that the weakness at the end is a welcome. Better than average for this brewpub, though that’s not saying a lot.
