Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 9, 2009 Golden-amber colour. Caramelly, slightly earthy aroma. Fairly thin. Lightly metallic caramel character. Off-dry finish. Kind of bland. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Feb 6, 2009 Deep cherry wood color with thick off-white head and lacing. Mild, dark bread aroma. Slick, soft mouthfeel with low carbonation. Some tannic character, maybe a touch of cinnamon but otherwise not so spicy. Nice lingering hop finish. Thin but decent. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 12/17/2006

tronraner (1905), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Jan 4, 2007 Draught at the Charleston location. Pours hazy burnt orange witha small whitish head. The aroma is mild caramel, some hay. The flavor is very earthy. Some crackery malt, dirty esters, and spicy hops. Single minded and very discordant, but somehow it comes across as tasty to me. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Jan 4, 2007 Draught. Pours slightly hazy light amber with minimal head. The aroma, much like their other offerings, was rather weak though I could detect caramel, butter, and paper. The flavor is slightly astringent with the faintest of spices, a bit of nutmeg perhaps. There is a flat earthiness which is upfront, but not much else to balance. I thought it was just okay. shrubber85 (2832), Wallhalben, Germany Dec 16, 2006 Tap at Charleston. Sweet malt aroma with hints of orange and apple. Clear amber color with small head. Sweet malt flavor with hint of orange and light hops finish. A very good session beer - very quaffable. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 5, 2006 Draught at Charleston, SC location. Clear brown color with no head or lace. Spicy nose and flavor, nutmeg I guess. Kind of nutty as well. A bit over-carbonated. Ehh.
