A beutiful red beer with a beutiful dense beige head. The aroma is sweet of berries and spices - most profound is black currant. The flavor is dry with notes of coriander and berries. A nice bockbier.

Nice looing beer, clear orange with a nice, fluffy tan head. Extremely fruity aroma, almost reminding me of Orval. Slight sourness present as well. Flavor is sharp, almost like orange peel and very fruity. Flavor is also a tad thin and watery, and yeasty. Not really a favorite.

Hazy copper with a substantial white head. Very interesting aroma of a bock, much more of a Belgian feel, as I guess one would expect from 't IJ. Very fruity and sweet with peach, melon, berries, must, caramel and light citrus. Smooth, but slightly thin in the mouth, leaving a little to be desired. Sweet up front with all of the yeasty fruitiness coming through in full fashion. The end finishes with a nice dryness. Probably a little more straight up malt would have made this feel more like a bock, but an otherwise tasty beer, despite not being my favorite 't IJ brew.

33 cl bottle, served in Gouden Carolus glass. Orange/reddish-gold appearance; impressive head w/ good retention. Beautifully hopped w/ noticeable yeast, and orangeish fruit notes. Initial, pleasing tartness is kept in check by a light, delicate sweetness. Impressive, dry finish. Quite easy to drink. A fine, very interesting beer that oddly enough reminds me of Orval, although it's not quite as complex. Definitely not your typical bock. A nice surprise.

Amber color. Quite poor aroma, but a reasonable malty body, medium smoothness, with a decent hopping, at the end.
