The flavour has a light sweetness, sourness, notes of yeast, barnyard and some fruit. It’s way too yeasty for me... CapedBrewsader (261), Brasschaat, Belgium
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 14, 2008 33cl. bottle at home: Ring around the neck of the bottle worries me before opening. Yup, it’s a gusher... but not too bad. Pours a dark red with brown tint and a fluffy, creamy head floats on top. Big nose of caramel, yeast and some definite earthiness. Slight raisin and biscuit float through the rest. Alcohol shows through in the back of the nose with some spices. Some cooked banana floating around as well. Flavor is a first quite yeasty and leafy. An herbal sharpness that gets somewhat smoothed out by a lower earthy character. Sort of a metallic herbal quality. Some malt character showing up here and there towards the end but always getting covered by earthy and metallic herbs and yeast.
