Quite a yeasty bock, sslight estery banana, yeastyness and a sticky brown sugar/caramel sweetness. Warming alcoohol in the finish. No depth. maeib (4772), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2006 Bottled. A hazy reddy brown coloured beer with a thin veil of off-white coloured head. The aroma is fruity and malty with a little berry. The taste is fruity and bready. A tasty beer with a nice body but I’d never call it as a bock in a blind tasting. More a Belgian Ale. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Sweet raisins and berries with a touch of caramel. Quite full bodied, smooth too. Interesting but certainly not a bock as I’m used to it. joss (3690), Garching b. München, Germany

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 9, 2006 12oz, Best before october 02 (I had not noticed), bought at Somerville SuperSavers, NJ in October 2005. Some liquid paper reminiscent markings indicate #300 on the back of the bottle. Spectacular bloodied copper pour raises a lacing landmark of a head, without a single off-bubble, light beige and forever lasting as a 1-inch perfect cover. Gentle small sediments bathe at the bottom of this jolly pool, possibly smiling at the invasion they comitted. Indeed, this is completely gone wild, tart and hugely fruity with powerful brett notes. Immensely packed with fruit esters, strawberries and cider, bananas, cranberry, blood orange and pomegranate. Sweet out of the gate, but the advanced attenuation becomes far more apparent in mouth. Nutty malts and spicy oldish hops spawn a tornado of socky, tea-like, band-aidy juicy minions. Medium bodied with smooth and soft carbonation that evolves into creaminess as it fades off. Finishes weak and oddly astringent with an out of place yeast derived dry leafiness that sticks to the cheeks and reduces the grandiloquence of an otherwise jaw-dropping experience. Alcohol sneaks in to introduce a warming feel in our heart. Infected... crazy... and gorgeous. I love it. NoiZe (1382), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Deep amber in colour. Thick long lasting off-white head. Sweet aroma of raisins, caramel and malt. Flavour is bitter and fruity, but a little dry aftertaste. A little thing mouthfeel. The bottle i had was best before 2004-07 and not stored in a perfect place. Some hints of raisins in the aftertaste aswell. Very nice.
