This has a cloudy peach color, light head, smells of alchohol and honey aromas, and tastes very close to how it smells. It has honey overtones and an ever-so-slight bite; it ends crisp and light, with a fruity aftertaste.

Very smooth and creamy texture. Cookie and cracker malt flavor, maple and caramel flavors as well. Cinnamon scented, but light. Sweetened candy sugar evident, and finishing with a toasted corn flavor. Good stuff, but too sweet.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours hazy orange\gold with a large fluffy beige head. Aroma of citrus, belgian style spices, fruit, yeast, and sweetness. Flavor is citrusy, fruit, spices are present, carbonated, slight sharp hoppy bite, smooth, a little weak for a belgian strong, but very good.

Cloudy with a light brown color. If it were brighter it would be a foggy coppery color. Light brown dirty foam. Tastes like awful homemade apple juice. I do not like it. It tastes like "Oops! This is bad!"

I bought a bottle of this at a liquor store in Las Vegas back in September while there for business. Cloudy orange color. It had a nice honey taste mixed with fruit, and dashed with a yeastiness.

The body is a medium very cloudy copper with some fast moving bubbles in the tulip glass. The head is large and tight that lasts a long time. The aroma is light balsamic vinegar with some cherries. There is also some rich leather and a little bit of buttery toffee. The taste is dry with slightly oxidized cherries. There is also some black pepper spice that lingers in the finish along with a hint of barnyard. The body is relatively smooth and light for a Belgian strong. A crisp mouthfeel that is somewhat refreshing. A little too dry for the style for my tastes. But at least it is an interesting beer.

Bottle, Chimay glass. Pours with no head but medium carbonation. The beer is really murky, lots of sediment, so much it sticks to the side of the bottle’s. Almost looks like a beer jello when standing still with all the ediment and carbonation. The smell is sour, at first I thought I might have got a ruined bottle (dated 7/04) but soon realized definitly not. The taste to me is interesting. Its definitly a belgian strong ale (despite only being 6.5%) but its got a littel twist to it like some of the other t IJ brews. The taste is very effervescent and trails off leaving a crisp feeling on your palate. But I could still taste the beer minutes after the sip. Goes down smooth.
