Jun 20, 2005 This is a hazy amber drink with a creamt light tan head and plenty of yeast particles drifting about. The aroma is a bready malt filled with light juicy fruits (cherry, plum, et cetera) and a heaping dosage of alcohol. Unfortunately, the latter dominates the flavor, although a sweet malt and fruity acidity manage to squeeze through to a small degree. The finish is fruity and alcoholic. Decent enough, I s’pose.

Jun 4, 2005 Bottle. Semi-malty aroma. Muddy, dark yellow colour. Astringent, malty and moldy flavour with a little acidity. Bitterness is a little too harsh for me. Malty/sweet aftertaste.

May 23, 2005 This was art of a nice tasting set from Bierkoning in Amsterdam. A nice presentation in the glass (alas not a Trappist glass) with a rich amber colour and a creamy head. A good whiff of diacetyl here in a positive way with undertones of the type of mixed fruit you get in a Christmas pudding. Definite alcoholic mouthfeel and a good dry aftertaste.
