rudolf (1734), Buffalo, New York, USA Jan 8, 2008 Thanks to SoLan! An orangish/ruby body, craggy yellow-tan head. Nose is pie cherry funk, light citrus, toasty malt. Flavor is lighter cherry pie, medium toasty malt, light wheat, some caramel. Finish is too thin, empty. TrefwoordPunk (549), Leiden, Netherlands Dec 13, 2007 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clousy amber with a medium tan head and a smell of citrus and grapes. Taste is complex, spice, caramel, citrus, coffee, roasted malts, sweet malts and yeast. Nice finish. Very atypical, sour and spicey, for a dubbel, but really drinkable epassa (105), Sao Paulo, Brazil Dec 5, 2007 Amber color, nice head. Aroma: Malty, caramel, spice. Palate: Toffee, dark fruits. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Oct 8, 2007 Bottle @ ABC Upstairs. Pours a dark amber with tan head. Aroma is sweet with fruit floral notes. Flavor is fairly bitter and sour for a dubble. Different, but I like it. slimchill (771), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 30, 2007 Bottle. Very acidic nose, light cherry. Cloudy light brown with minimal head. Flavor is nothing like the nose. Only a touch of acidity, more sweetness, can‘t nail down the fruit. Palate is full bodied but very smooth. Not as good as told. Should be better than Westmalle dubbel, Jens said, but I found it very highcarbonated and somewhat harsh and woody. But maybe it was a bad bottle. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Sep 7, 2007 Pours a bubbly amber color with a thick, creamy light tan head. Smells of some sweet malts, mild candy sugar and some yeast. The taste is slightly sweet, some nice spice comes out in the flavor too. Definitely malty, but not syrupy at all. Pretty crisp and clean. A little candy sugar and dark fruits are detectable as well. Not incredibly interesting, but very drinkable. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 04/01/2005

clear dark amber. nice tan head, sweet fig aroma, great big body, rich malt flavor, lots of ripe fruit character, very low bitterness in the finish, the yeast swirl adds some very nicy spicy character,
