| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 9, 2003 Dark tan on color, very heady, massive carbonation keeps fizzing. Smells sour. Nutty flavor is strong, fizzy and alcoholic, sour at the end of every sip. Some funky yeast notes, but so much carbonation that it literally fizzles down my tongue. Very dry finish is quite alcoholic as it warms. marcus (1868), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 12, 2005 Consumed in the tIJ windmill. This brown beer pours with a large tan head. The flavor is, alas, quite nondescript; very thin and not very pleasant. I had to wash this one down with a Columbus. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2007 Pours a bubbly amber color with a thick, creamy light tan head. Smells of some sweet malts, mild candy sugar and some yeast. The taste is slightly sweet, some nice spice comes out in the flavor too. Definitely malty, but not syrupy at all. Pretty crisp and clean. A little candy sugar and dark fruits are detectable as well. Not incredibly interesting, but very drinkable. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 22, 2008 33 cl, notched "at least maintainable to" June, 2004! Nearly opaque brown-black with a large creamy head that lasts and frosts the glass well. Great nose of earthy spices, dates, musty plums, caramel, brown sugar-molasses, and slight chocolate. Flavors are similar with added notes of funk, roasted nuts, cocoa, raspberry, wood and more spices for great balance. Cured tobacco in the finish. Smooth, medium-heavy body is a little sticky but in a nice dessert-beer way, and finishes slightly dry with a little alcohol warming. Maybe everyone should rate a 6-8 year old bottle of this stuff. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2009 330 ml bottle. Hazy, dark orange body with an off-White head. Aroma is malt, fruity and spicy. Flavor I sweet malty, rather fruity, a bit sour, yeast and quite funky. Not bad at all but a bit unusually. pilsnerrogge (1784), Finspång, Sweden
