Dark amber, very cloudy. Rich head. Fruity chocolate aroma. Well-balanced fruity flavour that turns into an yeast-dry, somewhat sourish finish. Nice beer.

Thanks to SoLan! An orangish/ruby body, craggy yellow-tan head. Nose is pie cherry funk, light citrus, toasty malt. Flavor is lighter cherry pie, medium toasty malt, light wheat, some caramel. Finish is too thin, empty.

Medium-dark cloudy brown with good, lasting, creamy light tan foam. Not much aroma. Some sourness and fruit suggesting grapefruit, some malt sweetness. I’m not getting any Brett. A mild soft hop finish. Vielen dank to Pivo.

(Bottle) Pours deep redish to nut brown. Nuts and caramel in aroma with Some funky chocolate and notes of liquorice root. Some fruits, dried apricots and raisins. Earty undertones and a light hoppyness. Light roasted, caramel flavour with some toffee, brown sugar and raisins. Lively carbonation. Sourish, light bitter finish. Medium body.

Well, this one was really weird. Cloudy brown colour. Yeasty and metallic aroma with some vanilla. Flavor is dusty, dry and a bit sour. I personally could not appreciate this unusual combination of flavors. IMHO one of the worst of t IJ.

33cl bottle, best before 08/2005. Just drank it. Pours a beautiful brown/ruby red color and some lacing. Aroma is best part, roasty with plenty of belgian candi sweetness and a bit of sourness. Beer may be a bit past its time, definite sour aspect but totally acceptable. Taste is a bit thin though - not usual dubbel - lactosy roast with some sweetness.

Pours dark reddish brown with a thin, mostly receding wispy light brown head. Aroma of cherries, sticky alefruits, raisins, toffee. Taste is sweet toffee malt, plum, raisins, and oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with slight stickiness and lush carbonation. Very interesting, dubbel-ish beer.

Brown in color with a slightly cloudy appearance, huge creamy off-white head, malt & yeast in the nose, lots of yeasty flavors that imparted quite a spicy flavor, sweet malt in the finish along with more spiciness, decent beer
