Yeasty and metallic aroma with some vanilla. Flavor is dusty, dry and a bit sour. I personally could not appreciate this unusual combination of flavors. IMHO one of the worst of t IJ. beastiefan2k (1606), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2006 33cl bottle, best before 08/2005. Just drank it. Pours a beautiful brown/ruby red color and some lacing. Aroma is best part, roasty with plenty of belgian candi sweetness and a bit of sourness. Beer may be a bit past its time, definite sour aspect but totally acceptable. Taste is a bit thin though - not usual dubbel - lactosy roast with some sweetness. TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA
