| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2004 11.2 oz capped bottle [Bottled Nov. 2002 - opened Feb. 2004]: Red orange hue turns cloudy and murky. . . Thick cream floats on top and reminds me of melted ice cream. Musty cherry aroma with some floral and bitter plum accents. Moist palate with nicely rounded flavours: red delicious apples, sugary bubblegum, lemon grass and pepper. Finish was fairly bland and short and a little disappointing after a nice aroma. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2008 33oml bottle. Aroma is slightly sour. Doughy. Cactus and agave perhaps but with a definite underlying tartness. Weird. Pours a cloudy and chunky dark amber with a very frothy brownish white head that lasts forever. Good amount of bretty tartness on the tongue. Doughty malt. A touch of sugary sweetness. Fairly dry. Medium body with a tad too much carbonation. Yeast addition adds a whole lot of dustiness to the flavor . Finish is rather abrupt and dry. A very unique dubbel. Thanks Alan! NoiZe (1381), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Brown colored brew. Large head. Sweet aroma, some yeast and sourness. Flavor is sweet, sugary, caramel and some fuits and spices. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2007 Pours to an electrified shade of mahogany red, thick with sediment. Aromas of molasses, charred prunes and figs, cherry favor syrup. Tastes very earthy and dirty - honey, iron, and rotted oak. Rather rich and heavy palate - both intensely carbonated and also sort of lifeless. Lacks gracefulness. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 24, 2005 Bottle: The deep brown colour looks good in the glass and the head stays firm and crisp. There is a cloying nature to this beer that tends to suggest that it hasn’t been fully through the brew cycle. While this is not a bad beer to consume I found it somewhat lacklustre. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 11, 2003 Medium brown color with a funny little sprinkled nutmeg head. Sour nose, but only slightly tangy on the sides of the tongue. Some nutty flavors, but mostly a fizzy explosion. It's difficult to grasp a taste because it's so overly fizzy that it just sort of stings.
