The aroma is sweet with prunes and some hints of herbs. There is also a definite milk chocolate note. The taste is raspberries with some iced mocha. There is also some light cola in the finish. A pleasing brew, this is interesting. Very low carbonation. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2005 This bottled brew poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized long lasting light brown colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body contained thick carbonation, was very hazy with a colloidal suspension and brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of yeasty brown malt. Its mouth feel is initially tingly vinous and thick with a lingering tingly palate. Its flavor contained thick yeasty mild brown malt slightly sour vinuous notes. beastiefan2k (1605), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA

Pours a beautiful brown/ruby red color and some lacing. Aroma is best part, roasty with plenty of belgian candi sweetness and a bit of sourness. Beer may be a bit past its time, definite sour aspect but totally acceptable. Taste is a bit thin though - not usual dubbel - lactosy roast with some sweetness. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden

Taste is spicy, malty and a somewhat wine like finnish. Medium MF, filling and warming and a nutty ending. Appareance is chestnut copper with some rubby hues and a dense, creamy white head. Nice, easygoing amber ale. Skinnyviking (4171), Copenhagen, Denmark

Sweet and fruity barley malt aroma with some caramel as well. Astonishingly hoppy flavor of fruits with a good deal of carbonation and a dry and long bitter aftertaste. Alcohol percentage seems just right.
