Pours a slightly hazed golden color with a soft fluffy head that’s retentive. Yeast sediment is seen floating around. The aroma has a surprisingly sweet and fruity malt and Belgian sugars smell to it. The flavor is interesting. Starting with a strong sweet, but light, malt factor the brew moves into a very grainy and semi-crisp citrusy aspect. Very Earthen, semi-grassy, and yeasty. Fairly carbonated. Kind of a odd sour note there at the end. It’s not bad, just...different in not so sure of a good way. I would recommend drinking this one fresh, unless you enjoy a nice, yet odd, sour note. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 15, 2007 330 ml bottle. Pale yellow with nice fluffy white head. Aroams suprised me with a nice fruity citrus smell. Flavors were sweet malt and more classic pilsner flavor. Some lager twang on the finish, but actually pretty nice. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 14, 2007 Hazy gold topped by a large, frothy, white cap that leaves behind a curtain of lacing. Nose of spicy, zesty yeast and light fruits. Flavor adds some sourness, crisp hops, and some grain. Medium/light body, a bit more carbonated than balanced. Very nice, underrated. iep (229), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Aroma with the typical IJ-spices (coriander dominates) plus a good amount of hops. Nice dry floral hoppy full-bodied taste, certainly not what I expected from a pilsner. Fairly thick mouthfeel, lots of carbonation. Very good as a light/refreshing beer that doesn’t make compromises in taste and/or aroma. Nice one. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 27, 2006 From the bottle pours cloudy yellow with a tall white head. Nice citrus sour aroma, wheaty and wild yeast smell to it. Flavor was tart and orangy up front, light dry funkiness to it with a slightly sour hopped finish. Spicy and dry with a great smooth body. I wouldn’t quite call it a pilsner, but very nice beer none the less. cchubb (73), Minneola, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2006 Pour was large with good carbonation and a big, self sustaining head. Color was straw but cloudy and turbid. Aroma started off with a lambic and sour apple aroma with a sweet bite. Palate started out sour and lambic like with a rich acidic overtone on the biscuity malt backbone. Finished dry and cardboardy, probably oxidized.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 17, 2006 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a hazy with fine particulate typically carbonated yellow colored body and thick foamy lacing. The aroma was floral vinous lambic like and slightly acidic. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a biting aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of malt banana yeast and floral. A decent one that I would consider buying again. Jukkabro (3018), Tampere, Finland
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2006 Dark yellow colored, cloudy appearance. Little lasting white head. Aroma is very non-pilsnerish: good spices, yeast, orange and fruits, feels more like witbier to me. Medium bodied. Flavor is dryer with spice and orange, aftertaste has yeast, drought and lemon. I like this.
