Powerful wafts of noble hops emanating from the glass, grassy, leafy and spicy at the same time. Asparagus shoots. Bitter flavour, but completely different from the aromas - partly chemical/medicinal, parly spiced. Mural coat paint with horseradish powder. What hops did they use?? Weird flavours, ringing association bells I can’t place - but I guess the hops were at least partly oxidized. Medium bodied, beefed up by the yeast (and protein UFO’s?). Well-crafted, but the main taste comes as weird to me. Better than remembered, certainly - but then that dates from their first batch on draught. How time flies... Stew41 (1057), Caulfield, Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Massive frothy head that doesn’t quite. Hazy orange / lemon body; looks good. House nose is unmistakable; spice and clove, perhaps a touch of pepper, miles away from typical pils. Palate shows bitter pepper, some hard stonefruits, and just the faintest hint of passionfruit to finish. Very sharp and refreshing. SaintMatty (1236), Tallinn, Estonia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2009 330ml Bottle - Amber with a slight haze. Fruity and floral aroma with hints of dried apricot and syrup. Bitter and fruity taste, with apricot, grapefruit pineaapple. More like a blonde ale than a pilsner, but very nice all the same. Light aroma of citric fruit, yeast and spices. Flavor is light malty, quite fruity, some hops and spices. To funky to be a pilsner, but really refreshing and tasty as an ale. gam (1123), brisbane, Australia

Orange, citrus flavour with hints of marsepijn. Nice prickly mouthfeel with buttery finish. One of the first pilseners I’ve really enjoyed (along with the one in Oslo). I should really make it over to their brewery soon as it’s across town for me... xibalba89 (147), New York, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Had it on tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Lots of citrus on the nose, with some sourness. Flavor is more of the same with a refreshing zest that makes this one of the most intriguing pils I have had, if it is indeed an actual pils. Really great beer from a good brewery. bluevegie (2222), Perth, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2008 Good white head on a slightly hazy, light golden body. I cant get past the lemon on the nose to smell anything else. Crisp taste which is what I look forward to in a pilsener though the flavour is not exactly to my taste, maybe some brett in there.
