BBE 11/08. Murky ruby brown, lacing beige head. Nose is vinous sourness, rust, dry fruits, earth and spices. Berry vinous flavor, port wine, earth and strong spices. Nice sourness. Quite dry finish with little alcohol. Medium to full bodied, foamy and smooth carbonation. An interesting, Oud Bruinish brew.

From the bottle pours darker copper brown, lots of little creatures floating around, with a tall strong white head. Aroma was sweet and sour, light hoppy and sweet fruity. Cherry and chocolate flavors show in the rich malts, some wild yeast give it a dry earthy qualty with a touch of sourness. Very dry spicy finish. Very enjoyable new take on "barleywine".

from crackedkettle.com - pours a reddish-amber colour with a giant foamy beige head; nice lace; aroma of gingerbread and apple; some spices underneath; creamy mouthfeel and full-bodied; moderately sweet and bitter, long spicy finish with bready and light fruity tones

A cloudy orangey/amber.Awesome belgium head and lace. Unmistakable aroma of pineapple and spices. This is different. Dull pineapple flavor(not as pronounced as in the nose)yeasty, flowery, slightly carbonated feel in mouth, finishes with a bit of a citric note. Very unique and something Im glad i got to try and would like to try again. If thats worth anything.

Hazy dark amber color, large off white head that had a good hang time then faded to leave a bit of a lace behind. The aroma was yeasty with some nice fruity notes some hints of spice and a bit of band-aid as well Hmmmm. The flavor was mildly malty with some flavors of dried fruit raisin maybe some plum with a slight yeasty thing going on as well as a noticeable alcohol hint in the middle, the brew seems a bit on the heavy side for me but definately goes down nicely.Pretty nice brew and well worth trying again.

Balsamico, malty nose. Nice amber body with a leggy head. Tastes like barley wine, lot of raisons. Fullmouth flavor that kicks on the roof of the mouth. A good one!

Strong caramel in aroma, even a bit of chocolate. Dark brown with a medium head. Full bodied and smooth. Sweet caramel with dark fruits. Also slightly citric and yeasty. Nice.

Bottle from Super Saver. Hazy deep coppery/rubyish pour with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, figgy fruit, some vinous fruit, brown sugar, slight cherries. The taste was caramel malty, with a slightly funky oaky fruity vinous mid-palate, and some finishing brown sugar and spicy hints. Very complex and well balanced.
